Last week I had a conversation with a fellow mumpreneur, and the topic of email list building came up. I was surprised to learn; she didn’t have an email automation process in place to welcome her subscribers after they signed up for her newsletter. To my surprise she didn’t think it was that important.

I believe that it is in fact very import. Just like meeting someone in person for the first time, the first impressions counts. It is great opportunity to thank your subscriber for trusting you with their email and inviting you into their inbox. If you are still not sure if a welcome email and even brief sign up email sequence are worth doing, consider this: According to Entrepreneur, welcome emails get 320% more revenue than promotional emails; an 86% lift in the unique open rate; and a 196% lift in the single click rate. With automation, you can just set it up once and forget about it. What’s even better, you can also put together the first few emails before you start sending your regular email to your subscriber. It is an excellent way to set expectations and highlight other potential ways to connect outside of your email.

So if you don’t have your welcome sequence ready, I might just have something to help you create one.

I have put together short EMAIL SIGN UP SEQUENCE workbook to help you establish your first automation.
